Hours of open positions:
Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm), Saturday rotation

PURPOSE:
To handle and analyze all OS&D issues from the initial call of the claim to resolution with the customer while minimizing Marten’s liability exposure.

RESPONSIBILITES
1. Knowledge of all OS&D procedures from onset to completion of the investigation.
2. Communications with our Operations group so they’re aware of any delays caused by OS&D issues.
3. Work closely with shippers and operations to obtain disposition of product to expedite the driver
getting back to his/her schedule.
4. Monitor issues that may arise with the reefer verifying proper temperatures are maintained. Close contact with Road Service/Reefer Shop to assure all mechanical issues are resolved. Arrange and receive download data from reefers when required. Know all aspects of Asset Intelligence software on reefers.
5. Thorough knowledge of all freight and rates that Marten Transport handles so can you’re able to assist with all OS&D issues that may arise.
6. Monitor all Cargo issues resulting from accidents.
7. Knowledge of Intermodal and Brokerage claim issues; review and investigate filed claims.
8. Reduce the number of claims and amount being paid out through proactive measures of introducing new procedures and policies.
9. Take after-hour emergency calls and emails on monthly rotating basis.
10. Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIP
Interact with all levels of personnel/drivers, customers, outside vendors; salvage buyers and adjusters.

ABILITIES/SKILLS
Strong written and oral communications, communication style for claim settlement; decision making, time management, computer experience – proficient in Excel & Word.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Reaction/speed; sitting for long periods of time, listening/hearing, speaking/verbal skills, standing, stooping and bending, stamina.

EDUCATION/TRAIING REQUIRED:
Four year college degree preferred or job related experience.
