Logistics Coordinator

Department: Brokerage Department
Location: Mondovi, WI

Base Salary with bonus potential after completion of a full financial quarter with satisfactory performance.

Purpose: To help monitor, track, and trace shipments both during and after normal business hours in order to assist drivers and customers get needed information in a timely fashion
Responsibilities:
1. Track, trace, monitor, and update system w/ real time loading and unloading times so system info accurately represents status of load.
2. Assist customers in getting information regarding driver location, ETA to pick up/delivery or other requested information.
3. Assist drivers and dispatchers to attain information in real time and problem solve any issues that may arise after normal business hours.
4. Be able to assist and work with claims services department on any OS&D issues that may arise after normal business hours.
5. Reset/adjust any loading and/or delivery appointments that need to be changed based on customer or carrier issues arising after normal business hours.
6. Documenting notes on any issues for every shipment should an issue arise.
7. Answer incoming phone calls from customers, drivers, or dispatchers and handle questions or issues accordingly after normal business hours.
8. Scanning and indexing of documents to keep records of carriers.
9. Other duties as assigned to provide essential after hour’s coverage.
Relationships:
Must communicate with other company employees, outside customers, shipping and receiving departments, logistics drivers, and company dispatchers.
Abilities/Skills:
Word and Excel knowledge preferred, ability to follow directions and attention to detail, ability to work un-supervised and get tasks completed, good problem solving skills, self-motivated.

Education/Training:
Associates degree or above preferred, previous experience in transportation a plus

Physical Requirements:
Sitting/Standing for long periods of time, light lifting, dexterity, listening/hearing skills, good communication skills both verbally and thru email.
