Marketing Services Analyst

Department: Marketing Services
Location: Mondovi, WI

As Marketing Services Analyst your primary goal will be to assist and manage Marketing Services functions focusing on maximizing profitability through diligent negotiation practices while supporting and acting as an internal extension to the Marten sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage pricing proposal execution and bid package processes with strict adherence to established timelines
2. Primary emphasis on truckload with additional involvement in Intermodal and related processes.
3. Respond expeditiously to requests for spot rate quotations via phone and email.
4. Help develop a brokerage enterprise system to help track consistent carrier partnership and the amount of money that is normally paid on a lane
5. Manage and respond expeditiously to requests for spot rate quotations via phone and email.
6. Assess and report to Management on sales opportunities as required.
7. Manage and develop evaluation and responses for Request for Information, Request for Proposal and Request for Quotation from customers in support of field sales efforts.
8. Analyze sales leads and sales call data for fair and equal distribution to Sales Directors/Managers.
9. Update and adjust customer contracts
10. Analyze research of profile information on potential new accounts.
11. Travel as necessary
12. Other duties as assigned
RELATIONSHIPS:
Daily interaction with all levels of employees including Marten Management with direct reporting to Director of Marketing Services.

ABILITIES / SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions with commensurate attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while handling confidential data with integrity. Self-starter, able to work effectively without supervision, team player, hardworking and energetic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for long periods of time, manual dexterity, listening and speaking ability

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
College degree in business or related field plus three years transportation experience; or five years transportation experience.
